Job description

Job Title: Welder/PipefitterJob Description

We are seeking a skilled welder/pipefitter to join our team at a steel fabrication facility. The candidate will engage in structural steel fitting and flux core welding, while also performing tack welding and pipe fitting duties.

Responsibilities
  • Complete fitting duties at a steel fabricator.
  • Perform structural steel fitting.
  • Execute flux core and tack welding.
  • Read a tape measure accurately to the 1/16th of an inch.
  • Handle pipe fitting tasks.
  • Lift materials weighing up to 50lbs.
Essential Skills
  • 1-2 years of experience in structural steel fitting and pipefitting.
  • Proficiency in flux core welding and tack welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tape measures.
  • Familiarity with fabrication, fitting, and welding processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with stainless steel, sheet metal, and aluminum welding.
  • Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and pulse MIG welding techniques.
  • Competence in using hand tools and grinding equipment.
  • Understanding of AWS standards and mechanical construction principles.

Work Environment

The position operates on a shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6am-4:30pm, Friday 5am-1pm, with occasional Saturdays from 5am-1pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
