Jennings Mechanical is a top-tier mechanical contractor serving the Charleston, SC area and beyond, specializing in commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system installations. We're currently seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter to join our team and contribute to impactful, large-scale projects across the region.

Job Summary

As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional environments. You'll work with a team of experienced tradespeople to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipes to exact specifications using a variety of hand tools and power tools
  • Install and assemble pipe systems, supports, valves, and associated hydraulic, pneumatic, or steam systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, piping isometric drawings, and technical specifications
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot piping systems for leaks and performance using air pressure or hydrostatic testing
  • Perform repairs and adjustments to piping systems as needed
  • Work collaboratively with welders, plumbers, and other construction trades to meet project goals
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, company policies, and industry best practices
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Pipefitter in a commercial or industrial mechanical environment
