Utilities & Pipe Crew Laborers in the Huntsville AL / North Alabama operations area, Alabama SMA reporting to the General Manager of Construction & Superintendent. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.
Job Details:
- Wages are dependent on experience
- Fulltime/Permanent
- Day Shift
- Weekend work may be required

Job Responsibilities:
- Lay storm drainage, sanitary sewer mains and water mains
- Use hand tools as needed
- Assist with setting grade and driving grade stakes
- Use pipe laser/level
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in grading operations/utilities & pipe preferred
- Individual must be dedicated to working safely at all times
- Experienced working with GPS control preferred
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary
- Team player
- Valid driver's license
- Read and understand grade stakes.
- Use both hands and feet at the same time.
- Work in an environment with noise levels that may require hearing protection.
- Must be able to hear and understand commands from supervisors, warnings from fellow workers, and alarms on equipment.
- Able to use mechanic's hand tools and tape measure.
- Able to crawl and climb on, over, under and inside construction equipment.
- Lift and carry objects and materials of various weights up to 100 pounds.
- Must have good reliable transportation to make it to and from work.
- Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
