We are looking for a talented Commercial HVAC/R Installer who is responsible for routine hands-on installation and job coordination with the Lead HVAC/R Installer and HVAC/R Service Manager during installation projects. You are also responsible for customer interaction, communication with the team, and job coordination with the administrative office.
Main Responsibilities Include:
  • Work in the field on commercial/industrial refrigeration, HVAC and mechanical system installations.
  • Work with the Lead Installer and other technicians during installation-related projects and upgrades and communicate with the team.
  • Ability to independently detail, coordinate, and complete installation projects with minimal assistance from the Lead HVAC/R Installer.
  • Work with a team of technicians as required.
  • Work on service-related repairs with the Link HVAC/R service team; compressor replacements, refrigeration system repairs, crane lifts, rigging, motor replacements, maintenance, etc.
  • Detail and order materials for installation projects; refrigeration piping, ductwork, mechanical hydronic and pneumatic piping systems, mechanical insulation.
  • Stay abreast of and continuously update professional knowledge including regulations, learning about new products and features.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed on a mobile platform-based service report on a daily basis.
  • Work closely with other Team members and departments to ensure all project installation needs are met.
  • Coordinate projects with the Lead HVAC/R Installer, back-office staff and operations in the field.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC/R systems and their components.
  • Support the installation of complex refrigeration and HVAC systems with the team.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Company Policies and Safety Standards with work performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
  • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.
  • Adhere and perform all duties aligned with the core values of the LINK Group organization, Can-Do Attitude, Courage, Commitment, Humility and Accountability.
Qualifications:
  • Universal EPA 608 Certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial/industrial HVAC/R installation experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills amp; Abilities:
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Hands-on problem solving and continuous improvement support.
  • Strong Customer Interaction Skills with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, ductwork, hydronic piping systems, mechanical pipe and duct insulation, and pneumatic piping with the ability to read and understand mechanical prints
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of HVAC/R electrical power, low voltage control wiring.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
