$500 sign-on bonus paid after 120 days of continuous employment!

Pay:

$20.00 - $27.00 an hour depending on experience

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to accurately lay out utility laterals, prepare excavation sites for digging, and identify and address potential safety hazards. They must be proficient in grading trenches to proper specifications for pipe installation and experienced in installing laterals, fittings, valves, curb inlets, and underground piping systems.

  • Report to Job Foreman daily
  • Completes tasks assigned for excavation and construction of underground utility sitework - often working in trenches
  • Check and maintain quality of pipe to ensure it is without defect
  • Effectively complete all jobs assignments within the designated time limit
  • Identify hazards associated with task assignments
  • Must maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by Foreman and Project Manager

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in wet utility underground construction
  • Display competency and awareness of surroundings to identify safety hazards
  • Ability to stand, bend, shovel, and complete other miscellaneous manual labor
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. continually throughout the day
  • Comfortable with exposure to various weather conditions
