Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 an hour depending on experience

Position Summary:

We are seeking hardworking, dependable individuals who are eager to learn a skilled trade, work alongside experienced crews, and build a long-term career in underground utilities.

• Report directly to Foreman daily
• Complete tasks assigned for excavation and construction of underground utility sitework – often working in trenches
• Support pipelayers, set up for dig, grading for pipe as well as attach laterals, fittings, valves and curb inlets, and lay pipe into trenches
• Effectively complete all jobs assigned within the designated time limit
• Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions when clarification is needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by Foreman

Required Skills and Experience:

• Entry level - no experience required
• Experience in a similar type of work or working outdoors a plus
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. multiple times daily.
• Competency and awareness of surroundings to identify safety hazards
• Ability to stand, bend, shovel, and other miscellaneous manual labor
• Comfortable with exposure to various weather conditions
