Job Description

Job Duties

  • Assist journeyman pipefitters or peers with the demolition, de-installation, rigging, fitting, and/or installation of equipment, supports, and pipe
  • Proactively receive mentoring from a journeyman pipefitter or Supervisors
  • Use hand and power tools with proper certification
  • Over the four years of the apprenticeship, learn and apply knowledge of the following:
    • Layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of piping systems
    • Making and reading isometric drawings
    • Reading construction plans and shop drawings for pipe systems
    • Inspecting and testing piping systems
    • Piping industry codes
    • Maintain a good attendance record and comply with apprenticeship program requirements
    • Maintain a record of on-the-job training and submit to apprenticeship program as required
    • Other duties, as assigned
    • Follow all safety rules and regulations
    • Employee may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), weekends, and holidays

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug/alcohol testing
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of construction experience is preferred
  • OSHA 10 desired
  • Favorable driver's record/valid license desired
