Job description

Pinnacle Fertility is a leader in physician-centric fertility care, supporting high-performing fertility clinics and comprehensive service providers nationwide. Guided by our mission of fulfilling dreams by building families, Pinnacle combines compassionate care, innovative technology, and comprehensive fertility services to create a seamless, personalized journey for patients.
As Pinnacle continues to grow, our Finance team plays an increasingly important role in building the financial infrastructure that allows our clinics and corporate teams to scale. This is an opportunity to join an organization where your work directly contributes to the strength, efficiency, and continued growth of a healthcare organization focused on helping patients build their families.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and take ownership of key accounting functions across a growing, multi-entity healthcare organization.
This is more than a traditional month-end close role. You'll work across multiple clinic locations and corporate entities, partner with teams throughout the organization, analyze financial results, improve accounting processes, and help create scalable solutions that support Pinnacle's continued growth.
You'll have the opportunity to work on everything from core accounting and financial reporting to process improvement, automation, acquisitions, and integrations. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys owning their work, solving problems, improving how things are done, and using financial information to help the business make better decisions.
Why This Role Matters
  • Own meaningful accounting work: Take ownership of key accounting processes across multiple entities and clinic locations.
  • Go beyond the numbers: Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide insights that help business leaders make informed decisions.
  • Help build for scale: Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and improve accounting processes as Pinnacle continues to grow.
  • Gain broad business exposure: Partner with Finance, Operations, Payroll, Revenue Cycle, and other teams to solve problems and improve financial operations.
  • Support growth and acquisitions: Participate in accounting integrations, acquisitions, and other initiatives that directly contribute to Pinnacle's expansion.
  • Build your career: Gain exposure to increasingly complex accounting, financial, and operational initiatives within a growing healthcare organization.

What You'll Do
Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes for assigned clinics and corporate entities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements, general ledger analysis, and journal entries.
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations while ensuring financial information is accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and GAAP.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable, cash receipts, credit card transactions, intercompany accounts, disbursements, and other balance sheet accounts to the general ledger.
  • Prepare clear, well-supported account analyses and maintain accurate reconciliations of clearing accounts.
  • Analyze financial results, identify variances and trends, and communicate meaningful insights to Finance and business partners.
  • Research accounting issues and recommend solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency, and financial reporting.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and standardize accounting processes across multiple locations and entities.
  • Help develop scalable accounting processes and controls that support Pinnacle's continued growth.
  • Evaluate existing workflows and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and visibility.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and strengthen financial processes.

Audit, Controls & Compliance
  • Own key components of audit preparation, including year-end audits, supporting documentation, account analyses, and subsystem interfaces.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors to provide accurate information and timely responses.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls, accounting policies, and best practices.
  • Help ensure accounting activities comply with GAAP, company policies, and applicable requirements.

Growth Initiatives & Special Projects
  • Support accounting activities related to acquisitions, integrations, and new business initiatives.
  • Assist with the integration of newly acquired entities, including data validation, reconciliations, process implementation, and financial reporting.
  • Participate in special projects and Finance initiatives designed to improve operational performance and scalability.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and projects as the organization continues to evolve.

What You'll Bring
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Experience working with accounting and financial systems.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment where priorities may evolve.

Preferred
  • CPA designation preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in healthcare, multi-site, or private equity-backed organizations.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or multi-entity accounting environments.
  • Experience with financial analysis, process automation, or accounting process improvement.

Technology You'll Use
Our Finance team leverages technology to improve accuracy, efficiency, and visibility across the organization. Experience with the following platforms is valuable:
  • NetSuite
  • Flowcast
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Power BI

Candidates who enjoy using technology to improve accounting processes and turn financial data into actionable insights will thrive in this role.
What Success Looks Like
In your first year, success means more than completing a strong month-end close.
You'll build credibility with Finance and cross-functional partners, take ownership of key accounting processes, identify opportunities to improve how work gets done, and become a trusted resource for understanding financial results.
You'll help create processes that are not only accurate today, but scalable for Pinnacle's continued growth tomorrow.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual Salary: $90,000-$115,000
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
