The Readiness & Resilience Lead, assigned to a specific client, will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive emergency management tools, templates, and planning frameworks. This role involves executing the emergency management program for the Americas region while ensuring global consistency and alignment with the organization's preparedness and response processes. The Emergency Management Specialist provides leadership and coordination during incidents, partners with various stakeholders, and ensures that emergency management processes are standardized, scalable, and available to support regional execution. This position can be located in Austin, TX, Orlando, FL, or Madison, WI.


Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise emergency management tools, templates, and planning frameworks.
  • Oversee the execution of the emergency management program in the Americas region.
  • Ensure emergency response plans, tabletop exercises, simulations, and preparedness materials are consistent across regions.
  • Provide expertise to Senior Specialists in APAC and EMEA regions.
  • Ensure regional emergency management work aligns with broader preparedness and response processes.
  • Provide leadership in enterprise-level response coordination during incidents and crisis activations.
  • Lead incident escalation, documentation, situational awareness, and after-action processes for their region.
  • Partner with RSMs, GSOC, Safety, Business Continuity, Communications, and other stakeholders.

  • Support RSMs with emergency management expertise while supporting their primary role as regional security integrators.

  • Develop enterprise-ready documentation, presentations, simulations, tabletop materials, and training resources.

  • Maintain visibility of readiness gaps, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities at the program level.

  • Support continuous improvement by ensuring lessons learned back into emergency management plans, tools, and processes.

  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Disaster Management, Public Safety, or a related discipline with seven to ten years of leading an Emergency Operations Center within an Incident Command System (ICS) structure.

  • Professional certification such as Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP), or equivalent regional credentials, preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of geopolitical, environmental, and technological hazards across the Americas region, with a proven ability to conduct risk vulnerability assessments and implement proactive mitigation strategies to safeguard employees and global assets.
  • Able to design and facilitate tabletop drills and comprehensive training programs for diverse, multicultural audiences.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and auditing enterprise-wide emergency management programs.
  • Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Able to analyze complex situations and recommend solutions.
  • Serve as an effective team leader.
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Able to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
  • Client orientated and results driven.
