What is a pink?

The term 'Pink jobs' does not refer to a specific occupation or industry-recognized job title. It may sometimes be used informally to describe roles related to the color pink (such as branding or marketing for pink-themed products) or to refer to jobs stereotypically associated with women, such as those in caregiving, teaching, or beauty industries. However, 'Pink jobs' is not a widely accepted or standardized term in the job market. For more details on job categories and gender-related job discussions, see the resources below.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a pink, and why are they important?

Job description

Chef David LeFevre’s Manhattan Beach Post is an eclectic, chef driven restaurant focusing on soulful food, engaging service, hand crafted cocktails and boutique wine selections. After opening in Manhattan Beach in April 2011, we are looking to recruit magnetic, passionate, experienced and motivated Bartenders/Mixologists to join our family.

A qualified Bartender/Mixology Candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years bartending experience behind a bar focusing on hand crafted cocktails, micro-brewed beer and a nuanced wine program. A candidate should maintain that Guest interaction and service is FIRST among all things. He/She is a perfectionist and craftsman… skilled at building the perfect sazerac or achieving perfect balance in a Hemmingway Daiquiri, while still being able to be flexible and create a cocktail on the fly when a Guest asks for something with basil, gin, lemon juice and pink peppercorn that maintains impeccable flavor harmony. We expect the right candidate also to possess the same passion and knowledge in food as our qualified server candidates. Candidate’s for all positions will possess humility, respect and integrity.

A flexible schedule is preferred – dinner hours during the week and brunch/dinner weekend availability is required. Most of all we are looking for individuals passionate about hospitality and relationship building. If you’re a bartender who believes in the integrity of a well-constructed, hand-crafted cocktail, than you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
