Make a Splash While Making a Difference!

Sun City Lincoln Hills is seeking an energetic, certified Water Aerobics Instructor to lead engaging aquatic fitness classes for our active adult community. The ideal candidate is passionate about health and wellness, enjoys motivating others, and is committed to providing a safe, fun, and welcoming fitness environment for residents.

Responsibilities

Group Exercise Programming
  • Lead water aerobics and aquatic fitness classes in a safe, effective, and engaging manner.
  • Create, implement, and update classes using accepted group fitness techniques and formats.
  • Teach classes according to the advertised description and fitness level.
  • Incorporate appropriate fitness components, including warmup, aerobic conditioning, flexibility training, and cooldown activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of a variety of group fitness formats.
  • Set up and clean up equipment before and after classes.
  • Arrive at least 5 minutes before class to welcome residents and prepare the class area.
  • Participate in department promotions, events, and meetings as needed.
  • Maintain minimum attendance requirements for assigned classes.
  • Secure a qualified substitute instructor when unable to teach a scheduled class using department software.
  • Wear a microphone during class when required.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Administrative and Communication Duties
  • Communicate safety concerns and incidents to management.
  • Report equipment needing repair or replacement.
  • Notify management of issues with sound systems, microphones, or hearing assistance devices.
  • Maintain current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
  • Respond appropriately during emergencies.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    Education and Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Group Fitness Certification from a nationally recognized organization
  • (ACE, NASM, ACSM, or equivalent) required.

  • Water Aerobics certification preferred.
  • Current Adult CPR/AED Certification required.
  • Current Shallow Water Lifeguard Certification required.
  • Ability to maintain all required certifications throughout employment.

    Benefits Overview
