As a part-time HOMEMAKER at AmeriCARE Pinellas, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. This position is ideal for nursing students looking to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting and gain practical experience while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

A Homemaker provides essential household and personal support services to individuals who require assistance in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment. This role involves performing housekeeping duties, meal preparation, shopping.                                                                                                           

Responsibilities: 

Household Management: 

  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and laundry.
  • Change linens and maintain clean and organized living spaces.
  • Assist with grocery shopping and errands.
  • Dispose of trash and maintain sanitary conditions

Meal Preparation & Nutrition Support:

  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Assist with feeding if necessary.
  • Monitor food and kitchen supplies, ensuring freshness and proper storage.

Qualifications

  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards

  • High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver
