• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injury, surgery, or chronic conditions to develop customized treatment plans.
• Utilize a wide range of therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Implement individualized rehabilitation programs that support patients in reaching their therapeutic goals and achieving optimal physical function.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations and patient feedback.
• Educate and advise patients and their families on post-treatment exercise regimens, self-management strategies, and the use of assistive devices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, communicating effectively with other healthcare professionals.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, peer discussions, and educational resources to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

As a Physical Therapist at Pine Grove, you will work with a varied patient demographic, including children, adults, and the elderly, all presenting unique rehabilitation challenges. Each patient will have distinct treatment goals that may involve recovering from orthopedic surgeries, managing chronic pain, or improving mobility after serious injuries. The role demands a strong focus on patient engagement and motivation to facilitate meaningful progress in their recovery journey.

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and their families.
• Proficient in using electronic documentation systems for tracking patient records and treatment plans.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with high adaptability to various patient needs.

• While 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred, new graduates who show aptitude and commitment to learning and patient care are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience in home care settings is a plus, providing insight into treating diverse populations in various environments.
