Summary:

The Attractions Technician is a hands-on specialist responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair all attractions, both on the floor and off the floor. This role combines technical expertise with operational support, ensuring all games are functioning smoothly while maintaining a safe, engaging, and enjoyable experience for guests. The Technician also manages inventory, keeps detailed records of repairs and parts, and coordinates with the team to maintain seamless attractions operations.

The perfect Attractions Technician thrives on problem-solving, enjoys keeping machines in peak performance, and has the flexibility to support the floor and back-of-house operations. They are detail-oriented, organized, and proactive about inventory management and preventative maintenance, ensuring a seamless experience for guests and a well-maintained arcade environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, assemble, and maintain pinball and arcade machines using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hand tools, and soldering equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electronic, and software issues on all pinball and attraction equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and off-floor repairs to minimize downtime of machines.
  • Assist the attractions team with floor operations, ensuring machines run smoothly during peak guest hours.
  • Provide excellent guest service by assisting players with machine operations, troubleshooting issues in real time, and answering questions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs, installations, and associated parts inventory.
  • Track inventory of parts, tools, and supplies; order replacements and ensure proper warranty handling.
  • Perform custodial duties as needed to maintain clean, safe, and organized floors, machines, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to prioritize repairs, manage workflow, and communicate machine status.
  • Stay up to date with new machines, technology updates, and best practices for pinball and arcade maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of pinball and attraction machines, including mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical instructions for repairs and installations.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting common machine issues including switches, sensors, audio, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to prioritize repairs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong focus on guest service and a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
