Job description

As an Arcade Game Technician, your days will be active and varied installing, repairing and providing mechanical support for arcade games throughout the greater US. Youโ€™ll have the opportunity to install and support the arcade industryโ€™s newest equipment with all travel related expenses and travel time paid. At Shaffer, our service technicians build a strong sense of camaraderie with each other and take great pride in everything they do.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair arcade equipment across the U.S.
  • Set up and configure payment kiosks, POS systems, and card readers
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing equipment
  • Provide post-sale support and training to customers
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members

Normal work hours are M-F 8-5 PM while in the office. Overtime likely when traveling.

Ability to travel up to a week, two times per month for the periodic installations across the U.S. (this is an estimate)

All expenses covered while traveling!

Reporting office location preferred: Columbus, OH.

Position Requirements

  • Strong communicative skills including both verbal and written
  • Strong electrical & mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment circuitry and mechanical assemblies
  • Ability to follow manufacturers installation instructions and program settings.
  • Dependable and reliable, with the ability to work independently
  • Detail oriented

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting an average of 50 pounds
  • Twisting of body
  • Constant stooping and bending/squatting
  • Climbing ladders
  • Unloading equipment
  • Walking in and out of locations, as well as, in locations
