They often work with databases, content management systems, and digital asset tools to optimize product listings and improve the customer experience. PIM roles are common in industries like retail, manufacturing, and e-commerce, where managing large amounts of product information is essential.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the PIM position?

To succeed as a PIM (Product Information Manager), you should have a solid background in data management, product lifecycle management, and a bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field. Familiarity with PIM software solutions like Salsify, Akeneo, or Informatica, as well as experience with ERP and e-commerce platforms, is often required.
