What is a pilot network?

Pilot Network jobs refer to positions involved in managing, operating, or supporting a network of pilots, often within the aviation industry. These roles can include recruiting pilots, scheduling flights, overseeing pilot training, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Pilot Network may also be an online platform or community where pilots connect, share information, and access career resources. Individuals working in these jobs typically have a background in aviation and strong organizational skills. The goal is to ensure efficient and safe operations across the network.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a pilot network?

To thrive as a Network Pilot, you need strong knowledge of aviation regulations, flight operations, and navigation, typically supported by a commercial pilot license and instrument rating. Familiarity with flight management systems (FMS), air traffic control communications, and advanced avionics is essential. Excellent situational awareness, decision-making, and teamwork skills distinguish top performers in this role. These competencies are crucial for ensuring safe, efficient, and coordinated flight operations within complex airspace environments.

What are some common challenges pilots face when working within a network or airline team structure?

Pilots working within a network or airline team structure often encounter challenges such as coordinating with multiple departments, adapting to changing flight schedules, and ensuring clear communication with air traffic control and ground crew. Maintaining situational awareness and adhering to strict safety protocols, while also collaborating effectively with co-pilots and cabin crew, is essential. Additionally, pilots must be prepared to handle irregular operations, such as weather disruptions or technical issues, which require quick decision-making and teamwork.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The AI Integration Engineer is a hands on technical role responsible for building, configuring, and deploying the AI solutions and integrations that power an enterprise technology capability. This role is focused on the engineering work itself: designing agents, building integrations, evaluating platforms, and shipping working solutions that embed organizational standards, content, and expertise into learning platforms, EHS software, compliance tools, and AI enabled applications.
Rather than scoping recommendations for others to build, the AI Integration Engineer sits embedded with the technical team, writing prompts, configuring agents, building integrations, and iterating quickly based on real feedback from how the solutions perform in production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Design, configure, and deploy AI agents and workflows across enterprise platforms, including Microsoft Copilot (M365/Teams), Salesforce Einstein or Agentforce, ChatGPT and/or Claude, hands on
  • Build and maintain integrations that embed organizational standards, content, and expertise into partner platforms such as learning management systems, EHS software, compliance tools, and enterprise dashboards
  • Write, test, and refine prompts and agent configurations, evaluate output quality, and assess the appropriate use case and platform for each application
  • Pilot, evaluate, and productionize new AI tools and automation opportunities, iterating quickly based on field feedback from internal teams
  • Establish and maintain technical governance, risk management, and operational readiness practices for AI solutions and enterprise integrations
  • Develop technical documentation, playbooks, and training resources that support internal AI fluency and repeatable implementation
  • Monitor emerging technologies and platform capabilities to identify new opportunities for integration and adoption
  • Troubleshoot and maintain deployed integrations, ensuring reliability, data integrity, and performance across connected systems

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Hands on, working proficiency configuring enterprise AI agent platforms, specifically Microsoft Copilot (M365/Teams), Salesforce Einstein or Agentforce, ChatGPT and/or Claude, including agent configuration, prompt design, and output evaluation
  • Practical knowledge of AI concepts and applications, including retrieval, content intelligence, prompt orchestration, knowledge systems, and responsible AI use in mission driven environments
  • Strong understanding of how technology platforms, SaaS ecosystems, APIs, and content systems support enterprise level product and service delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to build working integrations end to end, from requirements through deployment and maintenance
  • Ability to evaluate integration models, vendor/platform fit, and technical feasibility
  • Strong project management and process design skills, with the ability to manage multiple builds concurrently
  • Data driven mindset with the ability to define KPIs, assess pilots, and recommend scalable solutions based on evidence
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in ambiguity while helping define a new organizational capability
  • Remote position with the ability to work M through F during normal business hours; must be able to travel onsite 3 to 4 times per quarter, and may occasionally be expected to work outside normal business hours

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, data/analytics, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in hands on AI/technical implementation, such as forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, integration engineering, or enterprise systems development
  • Demonstrated hands on experience deploying AI tools or automation in an organizational setting, including configuring agents or workflows and integrating them into business processes
  • Experience building and maintaining integrations across multiple platforms and systems
  • Experience working across both business and technical teams to deliver cross functional initiatives
  • Experience in a professional association, nonprofit, standards based, education, or mission driven organization preferred

KEY DETAILS
  • POSITION TITLE: AI Integration Engineer
  • PAY RATE: $45 to $55 per hour
  • WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote, with periodic travel to the Park Ridge, IL office 3 to 4 times per quarter
