Job description

Are you looking to use your pilot experience to support and protect heroes? Join us! As a Sr Jet Pilot, you will lead complex missions and provide strategic direction in operational planning and execution. In this role, you will be an operational line pilot or demonstration pilot with increased program responsibility in oversight or management of flight operations. You will oversee junior pilots, ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and perform advanced piloting duties in various scenarios including special mission training. Your role involves significant leadership responsibilities and direct contribution to the success of high-stakes missions.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute complex flight missions across diverse operational environments.
  • Supervise and mentor junior pilots, ensuring their continuous professional development.
  • Ensure mission readiness through detailed planning, risk assessment, and coordination.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for mission-critical communication and coordination.
  • Review and analyze flight data and mission outcomes for continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate training programs and drills to maintain a high state of preparedness.
  • Liaise with engineering teams to address and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure full compliance with FAA regulation, ICAO standards, and applicable customer/contract Flight and Ground Operating Procedures (FGOPs).

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • 6+ years of experience.
  • Minimum of 3,000 hours of total flight time
  • Includes 2,000 multi-engine turbine hours for such aircraft

  • Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with instrument and multi-engine ratings, and/or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of advanced aviation systems and regulations.
  • Ability to pass a FAA/Military Pilot Background Check and mandatory drug and alcohol screen.
  • Note: PIC for this purpose is defined as Captain/Aircraft Commander of record, not simply the sole manipulator of the controls. SNC considers only pilot time in fixed wing aircraft toward minimum qualifications. This does not include simulator, helicopter, flight engineer, bombardier, navigator, RIO, EWO, WSO, NFO, or Special Crew.
  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required.
  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Military flight training background.
  • Experience in leadership roles within combat or operational missions.
  • Advanced degrees in aviation or aerospace disciplines.
  • Recent mission completion and/or prior service.
  • US Military survival and/or physiological training (<5 years).
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

Essential Functions:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to remain seated and operate flight controls for extended periods.
