About the Role

Were looking for a Pile Driver that will be responsible for assisting in the installation of deep foundation elements, including driving structural piles to specified depths and tolerances. This role involves assisting with and maintaining pile driving equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting other team members in achieving project objectives efficiently and accurately. The applicant should also be experienced in erecting, disassemble, and working with pile driving equipment such as leads, hammers, powerpacks, templates and work trestles.


Core Responsibilities

  • Pile Operation and Equipment Functions
    • Erecting, disassembling, and working with and around pile equipment
    • Preparation, aligning, plumbing, setting, testing of piling
    • Must be able to assist in the erection and dismantle of lattice boom cranes
    • Assist in the training of less experienced Crew members.
    • Guide piles during driving to maintain alignment and plumbness.
    • Monitor hammer strikes and report any irregularities.
    • Report any deviations or obstructions encountered.
    • Support testing procedures (e.g., PDA or static load tests).


  • Rigging, Lifting, and Material Handling
    • Assist and coordinate with Crane Operator in safe rigging and Heavy Lift protocols
    • Communicate through standard crane hand signals for safe operations
    • Inspect and maintain rigging equipment and materials
    • Maintain and inspect tools and machinery for safe operation.


  • Safe Operations
    • Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols.
    • Wear appropriate PPE (hard hat, gloves, eye protection, etc.).
    • Maintain high situational awareness to prevent unsafe conditions or incidents.
    • Identify hazardous conditions or behaviors and report them immediately.
    • Contribute to a positive safety culture and uphold RNGDs Safety Always core value.
    • Participate in daily safety briefings and hazard assessments.


    • Site Maintenance
      • Assist with cleanup and housekeeping on site.
      • Support other crew members as needed for efficiency.
      • Perform minor repairs or adjustments to equipment.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience as a Pile Driver Helper
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
    • Must be able obtain and hold basic rigging certification or willing to test.
    • Previous rigging and lifting training.
    • Strong understanding of safety regulations and PPE requirements.
