Job Title: Reformer Pilates Instructor
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and certified Reformer Pilates Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead safe, effective, and engaging reformer-based classes for clients of varying fitness levels. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering a welcoming studio environment, and supporting clients in achieving their fitness and wellness goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead group and/or private Reformer Pilates sessions with proper cueing, form correction, and progression/regression options
  • Create well-structured, balanced, and dynamic class plans aligned with studio programming
  • Provide modifications for clients with injuries, limitations, or special considerations
  • Ensure client safety at all times through proper equipment setup and monitoring
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of reformers and studio equipment
  • Build positive relationships with clients and contribute to a supportive community atmosphere
  • Promote studio programs and memberships when appropriate
  • Stay current with Pilates techniques, anatomy knowledge, and industry best practices
Qualifications
  • Comprehensive certification preferred
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification (current)
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and injury prevention
  • Excellent verbal communication and hands-on cueing skills
  • Ability to adapt classes for beginner through advanced clients
  • Professional, punctual, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching group reformer classes (1+ year preferred)
  • Experience with prenatal/postnatal clients or rehabilitation-focused programming
  • Sales or client retention experience
  • Additional certifications in fitness, movement, or wellness
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to demonstrate exercises and provide hands-on adjustments
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move equipment as needed
  • Capability to teach multiple classes per day
Compensation & Schedule
  • Competitive per-class rate or hourly pay (based on experience)
  • Flexible scheduling (morning, evening, and weekend availability preferred)
