Aquila's Pilates Instructor teaches Pilates group exercise classes at Aquila health & fitness managed centers and programs.
Compensation:
Instructors are paid a per-class base rate, with additional compensation based on class attendance. The pay range will be $20-$42, depending on the class format (mat or Reformer) and the number of attendees.

As a Pilates Instructor, your responsibilities will include:
  • Plan, design, and deliver scheduled classes
  • Prepare all required equipment and studio space prior to class starting
  • Prepare and manage class music (playlist ready before class begins)
  • Operate the studio sound system as needed
  • Provide appropriate exercise modifications for varying skill and experience levels
  • Ensure post-class cleanup, including participant wipe-down of reformers and proper storage of equipment
  • Adhere to studio dress code, including provided logo apparel and approved attire standards
  • Attend required meetings, including monthly meetings with the Studio Coordinator and quarterly team meetings
  • Comply with the call-off and time-off request policies outlined in the Instructor Handbook
  • Communicate studio membership options and direct prospective clients to the appropriate staff member
  • Use Mindbody software for scheduling and related responsibilities
  • Maintain availability to teach a minimum of three classes per week
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Studio Coordinator
  • Maintain all required professional certifications
  • Teach safe Pilates classes
  • Adhere to departmental and club policies and procedures
  • Adhere to client's policies and procedures
  • Assist in promotions and external events

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of six months of teaching experience in group fitness, Pilates, yoga, or a related movement discipline.
  • Completion of a comprehensive Pilates certification program of 500 hours or more, including both Reformer and Mat training, from a nationally or internationally recognized provider.
  • Active CPR/AED certification

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching Reformer-based group Pilates classes.
  • Additional certifications or continuing education in Pilates or related movement modalities.
  • Experience working in a boutique fitness or studio environment.
