Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing

License: GA or Compact license required
Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
Must-Have:
- Patient Ratio Experience: 1:6
- Charting System Experience: Epic required
- Skills: Blood Product Administration, Chest Tubes, Feeding Tube Care and Management, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Isolation Precautions, IV Management, Wound Care
Description:
Minimum experience required is 1 year.
First timers are accepted.
Charge Nurse experience is preferred.
Patient population includes adults to geriatrics.
Patient diagnoses may include all potential Med Surg diagnoses.
Skills and knowledge required include isolation precautions and wound care.
Specific skills also include nasal cannula, high flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, starting IVs, PICC line management, blood product administration, and feeding tube care.
The average daily census is 29 with a patient room capacity of 32.
Staffing ratio is 1 nurse to 6 patients.
Full compliance required to start on time.
If not compliant, the pushback is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
Major holidays expected to be worked include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
If one major holiday falls in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.
If two major holidays fall, the traveler is expected to work both.
If three major holidays fall, the traveler is expected to work two.
Compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory.
All RTO must be finalized at the time of submission.
No RTO or schedule requests can be made post-offer.
Max RTO allowed is 7 days per contract.
Holidays may have specific RTO restrictions based on the number of holidays during the assignment.
