What is piece work assembly?

Piece work assembly is a type of manufacturing job where workers are paid based on the number of items or units they assemble, rather than receiving an hourly wage or salary. Employees in this role typically work on repetitive tasks to put together products or components as part of a larger production process. This payment system incentivizes speed and efficiency, as workers who assemble more pieces can earn more money. Piece work assembly jobs are common in industries such as electronics, textiles, and automotive manufacturing.
