Job description

Position Summary
The Flex Warehouse Worker/Driver supports both warehouse operations and delivery functions. This role is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping orders; maintaining inventory accuracy; loading and unloading materials; and safely transporting goods over designated routes. The position requires flexibility to alternate between warehouse duties and driving responsibilities while ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency throughout daily operations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:
  • Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately based on sales requisitions
  • Receive, stage, and organize incoming materials
  • Identify, report, and segregate damaged or non-conforming products
  • Maintain bin locations and assist with warehouse organization and layout
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify appropriate departments of shortages
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with periodic and year-end physical inventories
  • Load and unload goods and materials from warehouse locations onto delivery vehicles
  • Transport materials to customer locations or other EMS facilities safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all cargo is properly secured during transport
  • Maintain accuracy delivery and pickup records
  • Inspect vehicles prior to use and report safety or mechanical concerns
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safe operating conditions
  • Operate warehouse equipment
  • Follows all security and safety procedures established by the EMS and Branch
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Assist with packing, unpacking, material movement, and other warehouse tasks as needed
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience/Skills/Abilities Required
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Experience operating delivery vehicles, including trucks and operating warehouse equipment used in warehouse
  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
  • Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow multistep, written, and oral instructions
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers, drivers, and coworkers
  • Ability to use basic computer systems, warehouse software, and office tools
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate records
Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Most of their time will be spent driving and loading/unloading goods and materials.
  • Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling
  • Role typically involves approximately 50% driving, 30% walking, and 20% standing
  • May be required to work in various weather conditions
