Position Summary
The 1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor [5:00am–2:00pm]
leads morning warehouse operations with a primary focus on inventory receiving, putaway, cycle counting, and accessory picking. This role oversees the accurate receipt and storage of inbound product, ensuring inventory is scanned, organized, and system-aligned while maintaining clear, safe, and efficient warehouse aisles. The supervisor also drives inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts, resolves product discrepancies, and supports accessory fulfillment to keep operations moving efficiently. Working closely with the 2nd Shift Supervisor, Inventory, and Operations leadership, this role establishes a strong operational foundation for the day by ensuring inventory is accessible, warehouse organization is maintained, and outbound fulfillment teams are positioned for successful order execution.

The 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor [8:00am–5:00pm] leads daytime warehouse execution with a primary focus on outbound order fulfillment, truck loading, and maintaining operational flow throughout the day. This role oversees order picking completion, final quality control, staging, and outbound loading activities to ensure deliveries are shipped accurately, on time, and in accordance with Vesta's quality standards. In addition, the supervisor supports inventory movement by coordinating the putaway of returned and newly received product as workload permits, ensuring inventory accuracy and warehouse organization. Working closely with the 1st Shift Supervisor, Inventory, and Operations leadership, this role drives productivity, resolves operational issues in real time, and ensures a seamless transition at the end of the shift while leaving the warehouse prepared for the next day's operations.
Compensation: This position offers an hourly pay range of $21.00–$26.00, based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

Requirements

Furniture Warehouse Operations

  • Lead daily start-of-shift meetings to align the team on safety, priorities, and workflow expectations
  • Oversee safe and efficient loading/unloading of box trucks, trailers, and containers with furniture, accessories, and staging materials
  • Supervise the proper order selection, quality control, staging, storage, and organization of product to maintain cleanliness, accessibility, and protection
  • Conduct quality inspections on high-value furniture and accessories before dispatch
  • Ensure wrapping, padding, and handling of inventory is done according to company standards
  • Monitor adherence to SOPs in all warehousing functions — from inbound receipt to returns/download processing

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and support a team of 15–20 hourly associates across functional areas
  • Train and coach new hires; provide cross-training to ensure operational flexibility
  • Lead and participate in weekly safety meetings to reinforce a culture of accountability
  • Support coaching and corrective action conversations as directed by the Warehouse Manager
  • Step in as acting Warehouse Manager during coverage needs

Inventory & Systems

  • Help maintain accurate inventory control by ensuring system transactions match physical movement
  • Flag discrepancies between system data and floor inventory to Inventory and Ops leaders
  • Ensure real-time documentation of product handling, movement, and inspection through system tools

Facility & Operational Support

  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in all work zones, staging areas, and loading docks
  • Report hazards, equipment issues, and workflow disruptions promptly to management
  • Keep leadership informed of staffing challenges, PTO requests, or performance gaps
  • Support process improvements and new workflow rollouts as directed
Requirements
  • 2+ years of warehouse leadership experience with direct team supervision
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and lead work from the floor
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and warehouse equipment protocols
  • Comfortable using warehouse systems and digital tracking tools
  • Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with quality control or staging preparation of furniture or large-format items
  • Exposure to returns/download workflows and physical inventory audits
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
