WAREHOUSE/DELIVERY DRIVER - No CDL needed

MADISON, WI

We are looking for a fast paced and hardworking Warehouse/Delivery Driver to join our company. The Warehouse/Delivery Driver will be required to adhere to our protocols while observing standard safety guidelines.

Must be 21 years of age with a good driving record over the past 3 years.

The primary function of the Warehouse/Delivery Driver is to provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders, making pick-ups as necessary, and performing general warehouse duties and customer assistance as needed.

Duties:

The below items and will increase with the demonstrated performance, productivity, and ability of worker, as determined by the supervisor.

  • Prepares orders by pulling from stock for the purpose of meeting delivery requirements
  • Processes a variety of documents and/or materials for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties and ensuring the proper storage of materials and supplies
  • Receives stock and non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct and inspecting items for damage
  • Responds to inquiries of staff and vendors for the purpose of providing information and direction regarding status of deliveries, reporting discrepancies to appropriate personnel
  • Stocks equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining required inventory levels
  • Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device
  • Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles.
  • Verify the contents against pick ticket.
  • Drive vans and box trucks to residential and commercial job sites
  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
  • Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to warehouse manager using cellular telephone.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes in order to ensure vehicles are in proper working condition.
  • Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
  • Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
  • Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
  • Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements in accordance with regulations.
  • Communicate with installers and job supervisors to coordinate deliveries
  • Stack pad
  • Check out materials from supply cage using the cage inventory log
  • Cut area rug pads
  • Measure and/or cut materials, as needed
  • Call customers to arrange pick up or deliveries of orders
  • General maintenance of warehouse/office area
  • Process returned goods from job sites and customers
Requirements:

· Age 21 years or older

At least high school diploma plus 1 year of previous experience in warehouse/delivery

· Ability to understand and effectively communicate

· Ability to calculate simple figures, amounts, and measurements

· Ability to climb, lift, balance, walk, and stoop while handling flooring materials

· Ability to push, pull, and lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs frequently and 70+lbs with assistance

· Ability to meet deadlines and schedules; Work as part of a team

· Ability to operate forklift equipment

· Adhering to safety practices; handling hazardous materials

· Ability to safely operate a box truck and/or van

· Have a valid drivers license and a good driving record

· Computer skills – Windows and MS Office preferred

· Preparing and maintaining accurate records

Background Check and Drug/Alcohol Test Required
