Description
We need team members that have attention to detail and organization to load product on Semi Trailers for shipment to our stores. This person will be required to become forklift certified through internal training. Fast paced working environment with constant change. Adaptable to weather changes and able to work on your feet throughout the day. Must be able to repeatedly lift 45-50 pounds, consistently lift up to 75 pounds, and move product easily using safe lifting practices. Basic Computer Knowledge.
Background check is required.
Requirements
Applicants must be 18 years of age to become Forklift Certified.
All Associates should be capable of pushing, pulling and/or lifting up to 75 pounds throughout their workday.
All Associates are expected to work on their feet and be capable of Standing, Walking, Bending and/or Kneeling consistently throughout their workday.
Must Possess and be able to Perform the following:
  • Certified to operate Forklifts (certification done onsite upon hire)
  • Ability to use pallet Jacks, 2-wheelers, hand trucks
  • Safety training (Lifting mechanics, Hazardous material handling)
  • Proper loading/Unloading of Semi-Trailer, including securing loads
  • Know Buyers/Asst. Buyers, and the Accounts Payable personnel for the appropriate team the product belongs to.

Checking in Freight
  • Make sure all freight is accounted for before signing, if not, note it on freight paperwork
  • Knowledge of Latitude and how to navigate between programs
  • Report discrepancies of inventory to Discrepancy Specialist
  • Use the RF gun to match product from the pack slip to the Purchase Order
  • Check in freight in a timely manner, within 5 days of receipt
  • Maintains inventory and shipping records accordingly

Understanding the Transfer System
  • Pull the product and have it ready to ship (boxed or palletized) before truck arrives
  • Have the transfer paperwork prepared
  • Assist the driver, if needed, with unloading/loading
  • Safely pack fragile items (guns, food, etc.)
  • Understand Request Mode, Ship Mode, and Complete Mode

Handling of Defective Merchandise
  • Understanding the difference between a store transfer and defective transfer items that are shipped back to the warehouse
  • Customer returns that are defective, must come back to the warehouse
  • Contact your manager or the defective department if you are unsure on how to handle

Keep Receiving area Clean & Neat:
  • Keep clean, neat, and clear of any safety hazards at all times
  • Be sure outside receiving area is swept and clear of trash and all safety hazards
  • Keep floors swept/dry and empty trash daily

Maintains safe, secure, and healthy warehouse/shipping material handling environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns. Contributes to warehousing/shipping and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
