Job description

We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented Warehouse / Customer Service Associate to join our team at The Part Works, Portland!
Position Summary:
This hybrid role combines hands-on warehouse operations with front-line customer service, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in accuracy. You'll pick, pack, and ship orders, process vendor receipts, and maintain inventory, while also serving as a knowledgeable point of contact for customers in person, by phone, email, and chat. Success in this role depends on strong product knowledge, careful attention to detail, and clear communication that builds lasting customer trust. We'll provide on-the-job training to help you succeed and grow, both in the role and in your career.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role, with stable daytime hours 7:30am-4:00pm. No weekends!
Job Responsibilities:
  • Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately.
  • Verify and process vendor receipts and incoming merchandise.
  • Support walk-in customers and create transactions, including quotes and sales orders.
  • Communicate with customers in a variety of ways; answering incoming calls, emails, or online chat and text, while maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication.
  • Learn and observe physical products to assist in their identification, comparing to print catalogs and other resources to best support customer needs.
  • Provide detailed product information and field customer questions.
  • Stock and maintain inventory.
  • Read, understand, and follow instructions carefully.
  • Collaborate with other employees, both local and otherwise, to ensure customers receive the correct products.
