What is a pick lead?

A Pick Lead is a supervisory role in a warehouse or distribution center responsible for overseeing the picking process, where items are selected and prepared for shipments. They coordinate pickers, ensure that orders are accurate and completed on time, and help resolve any issues that arise during the picking process. Pick Leads also train new staff, monitor productivity, and enforce safety protocols to maintain efficient operations. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential in this position.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a pick lead?

To thrive as a Pick Lead, you need experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and a solid understanding of order fulfillment processes, often backed by a high school diploma or equivalent.
