Night Lead Picker / Keg Picker Job Description
Specialty Beverage of Virginia - distributor of some of the finest beers in the world and a member of the Sheehan Family Companies - is currently looking to fill a Night Lead Picker / Keg Picker position. We are seeking an energetic individual with strong leadership ability, work ethic, and responsibility to support our night warehouse operations.
Schedule
Sunday: 7:00 PM - 12:00 AM (or when work is done)
Monday-Thursday: 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM (or when work is done)
Pay
$23-$24 per hour
Responsibilities
  • Build mixed pallet orders for retail delivery
  • Pick, stage, and organize keg orders (half barrels, quarter barrels, etc.)
  • Lead nightly picking operations and support team productivity
  • Assign tasks and monitor workflow to ensure timely completion
  • Train new employees on picking procedures and safety practices
  • Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Assist with inventory counts and product rotation
  • Repack damaged product and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
  • Communicate issues or delays to management
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years warehouse experience preferred
  • Leadership or lead experience preferred
  • Experience handling kegs or in beverage distribution a plus
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Ability to work night shifts and flexible schedules
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move heavy products (kegs may exceed 150 lbs with assistance)
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Hiring Requirements
All candidates considered will have a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and a physical exam.
