The Role:
As the Material Handler, you will unload, check and compare material to purchase order. Verify count and part numbers. Receive and store materials plus prepare materials for use in all of the production areas. Maintain records reflecting receipts and disbursements.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Receive purchase orders/materials assuring accuracy of receipts. Assure completion of materials on a daily basis. Label material properly with correct part numbers and distribute material to departments/inventory locations as required.
  • Inspect, count, weigh or measure material or items from incoming shipments for correct part number and count verifying information against purchase order/packing list.
  • Receive in computer system to correct location.
  • Perform cycle counting and make adjustment to records on inventory as directed.
  • Operate fork lift as required.
  • Fill pick tickets and kits as requested.
  • May be assigned additional tasks as needed.
Our Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1 - 3 years material handling experience
  • Dependable
  • Ability to read scales and rulers
  • Computer skills, Word and Excel
  • Basic math skills
  • Work fairly independently or under minimal supervision of the Supervisor
  • Ability to effectively communicate to employees, supervisors and management
  • Safety/quality minded

  • Ability to label material properly
  • Previous experience using a material resource planning system is a plus

Pay Range: $17.00 - $17.51
