Registered Nurse/Telemetry

Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Beckley, West Virginia (Beckley ARH Hospital) Contract Length: 13 Weeks Start Date: 06/23/2026 Shift: Days – Rotating 3×12 & 4×12 (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) Schedule Requirement: 84 hours biweekly (MANDATORY)

Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg–Telemetry RN experience
  • Experience in Level IV Trauma facility or higher (3–6 months minimum)
  • Experience with 1:5–1:6 patient ratios
  • Strong telemetry and acute care background required
Certifications
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • AVADE (preferred)
Key Clinical Skills
  • Cardiac monitoring & dysrhythmia interpretation
  • Management of cardiac drips (non-titrating)
  • IV therapy, central lines & PICC lines
  • Blood product administration
  • Oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP
  • Tracheostomy care & chest tube management
  • Stroke (CVA) & post-TPA care
  • Heparin protocols & IV insulin protocols
  • Post cardiac cath care (TR Band, sheath removal)
Unit Experience Preferred
  • MS/Telemetry

Patient Population

Unit Details
  • Typical Ratios: 1:5
  • Float required (Med/Surg Tele, Rehab, ER Hold, Transfer Units)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Block scheduling NOT allowed
Facility Requirements (STRICT)
  • Active Compact or WV RN License at submission
  • Must accept biweekly rotating schedule (3×12 / 4×12)
  • Up to 7 days RTO allowed (must be disclosed upfront)
  • Candidate must live 75+ miles from facility
