Orchid Insurance, an Arrowhead Intermediaries company, is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join our growing team in Tampa, FL.
The HR Generalist performs a wide range of HR-related duties across the employee lifecycle, from attracting top talent to promoting employee engagement and retention. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our site's HR goals and ensuring a smooth and efficient HR experience for all teammates.
How You Will Contribute:
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Source, recruit, screen, and schedule interviews for top talent. Coordinate with hiring managers on job descriptions, talent pipelines, and college partnerships. Post job openings, utilize Predictive Index (PI) for candidate selection, and develop a strong talent pipeline through networking initiatives and employer branding.
  • Employee Relations and Performance Management: Partner with employees and leaders on employee relations issues, providing coaching and guidance. Administer and coordinate PI assessments, conduct stay interviews and annual performance reviews and implement improvements for operational effectiveness. Assist with promotion requests and workforce planning and forecasting initiatives in alignment with site HR goals.
  • Compliance and Administration: Ensure compliance with employment-related laws and regulations. Process paperwork, maintain accurate personnel records, and update organizational charts. Assist with benefits administration and payroll processing (as backup). Coordinate with staffing agencies and manage our internship program. Support the creation and maintenance of company policies, as needed.
  • Project Management and Continuous Improvement: Implement HR projects and initiatives as directed by Head of Team Resources, including change management, engagement activities, and coaching leaders. Utilize Brown & Brown support resources and implement HR improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners. Assist the HR team in coordinating company events and meetings.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • SHRM-CP designation preferred.
