Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities geared toward optimizing patient outcomes:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, compiling patient histories and performing detailed assessments that inform individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate findings and treatment plans clearly to patients and their families while incorporating their goals and preferences into care strategies.
• Implement and adjust treatment protocols based on ongoing assessments, addressing the evolving needs of each patient.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, recognizing changes in patient conditions that warrant modifications in treatment plans.
• Familiarize yourself with and utilize clinical documentation systems to accurately track patient progress and outcomes, creating legible daily notes and exit evaluations that reflect comprehensive care.
• Manage your schedule efficiently, maintain productivity standards, and participate in community outreach initiatives to promote the clinic and improve patient access to care.
• Engage in continuous education and professional development, actively seeking opportunities for clinical growth and providing mentorship to students and new staff.
• Foster a positive customer experience through exceptional service and adaptability, addressing any barriers to patient access.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient clinic serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those with chronic pain conditions, and athletes in need of rehabilitation after injuries. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers is required.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
