Work Environment

The Occupational Therapist will work onsite at our Early Interventional Center, which is tailored for comprehensive patient care. The center is equipped with modern therapy tools and resources, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment. Your schedule will typically be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team—consisting of physical therapists, nurses, and medical professionals—will be essential to provide holistic care that meets the diverse needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their physical, cognitive, and emotional needs, utilizing evidence-based evaluation tools.
  • Design and implement personalized treatment plans that address specific client goals, considering their abilities and challenges to maximize their potential.
  • Administer therapeutic interventions to enhance fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities, ensuring that treatment is both effective and engaging.
  • Provide educational resources and training for patients and their families on adaptive techniques and tools to foster independence in daily tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with other healthcare providers and specialists to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, discussing patient progress and treatment goals regularly.
  • Document patient progress accurately and consistently, modifying treatment plans based on ongoing assessments to promote continual improvement and recovery.
  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in occupational therapy practices, contributing to professional knowledge sharing within the organization.
  • Guide patients in the use of adaptive devices and assistive technologies tailored to their specific needs and preferences.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a varied clientele, including children and adults recovering from injuries, surgeries, and other conditions that impact motor skills and cognitive functions. Patients may present challenges related to neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, developmental delays, and more. Your work will be instrumental in helping them regain their independence and improve their ability to perform daily tasks, thereby enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A valid Occupational Therapist (OT) License in the state of California.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • A commitment to patient-centered care, demonstrated through a compassionate approach in interactions with patients and families.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop rapport and trust with a diverse population.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of professional experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in outpatient or rehabilitation settings.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software is highly desirable.
  • Clinical competencies in treating various conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, and developmental disorders.
  • Familiarity with holistic and evidence-based therapeutic techniques that address physical and emotional needs.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $85,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
