Yes Posting Number ST000834 Position Title Physics Laboratory Student Teaching Assistant Department Chemistry/Physics Division College of Arts & Sciences Supervisor Elena Gamaliy-Snezhko Supervisor Title Laboratory Manager and Instructional Support Description of Job Duties
The successful candidate will assist lab instructors and professors in the answering of student questions of lab courses related materials (equipment set-ups and operation, concepts necessary for the lab, acquiring experimental data, treatment of acquired data, analysis and interpretation of the experimental results, and preparation of proper lab reports).
In the laboratory setting, the candidate will check laboratory equipment, demonstrate the proper use of laboratory equipment, and give guidance to students in the safe and proper handling of equipment. They will also help with maintaining a clean lab.
The successful candidate will also attend the weekly lab instructors meetings.

Applicant must have completed PHYS 131/132 with a passing grade ranging between A to C
