Job Summary
Big Sandy Community and Technical College is accepting application for part-time instructors to teach an array of physics courses in-person and/or online. The part-time instructor will be responsible for instructing physics lectures and/or labs, administering and grading associated homework, exams, and lab reports.
Part-time instructors are paid $515.00 per college credit hour.
Job Duties:
โ€ข Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities and prepares learning materials.
โ€ข Provides instruction to students in the subject area.
โ€ข Prepares lesson plans (as needed) and maintains records and reports on student
attainment, attendance/activity progress.
โ€ข Utilizes approved online course template and syllabus format.
โ€ข Ensures online courses meet standards as set forth by the college.
Minimum Qualifications:
โ€ข Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Physics and/or another qualifying
field.
โ€ข Teaching and Blackboard experience preferred.
โ€ข Credentials must be granted from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
โ€ข A passion for teaching undergraduate students and an ability to work with a team
effectively is essential to success in this position.
โ€ข Experience with online teaching is preferred.
