Bayhealth Medical Center is Central and Southern Delaware's healthcare leader with hospitals in Dover and Milford, as well as stand-alone Emergency Department in Smyrna and a hybrid Emergency Department and Urgent Care in Milton. We offer various practice settings throughout Kent and Sussex Counties. Bayhealth Medical Center Kent Campus is 90 minutes from Philadelphia, Washington, DC and Baltimore. Our Sussex Campus is 30 minutes to the Delaware beaches and relaxation in the sand!

Location: Sussex Campus Hospital
Status: Full Time 80 Hours per pay period; 40/wk
Shift: Days; no weekends!
SALARY RANGE: 32.81+ BOE; HOURLY
General Summary:
Provides professional nursing care to patients within a Physician's Practice. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge, critical thinking, judgment, and skill are performed in accordance with practice policy, procedure, and philosophy.
Responsibilities:
1. Restores and promotes patient’s health by completing nursing process.
2. Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
3. Accurately and completely records all required data in the medical record and departmental database.
4. Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
5. Use advanced communication skills with all levels of internal and external customers.
6. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and profession standards.
7. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
8. Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
9. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); Or Nursing Diploma.
  • Credential(s): Basic Life Support (BLS) or the ability to obtain - on-site class offered, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience: At least two years clinical nursing experience in a physician practice, hospital, or other medical specialized environment.
Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Credential(s): Certification related to the position, if applicable.
  • Experience: Three or more years in a physician practice or hospital setting.
