Job Title: Provider Liaison
Department: 7000 - Business Development
Reports to: Regional Vice President, Operations
Job Summary:
The Provider Liaison role is a high-impact position responsible for building and sustaining referral relationships with medical providers, hospitals, and community partners who direct patients into outpatient physical therapy care. This role drives patient volume growth through direct sales, education, and relationship management, while serving as the external face of Brunswick PT (an Arete Health Company).
The right candidate is high-energy, charismatic, and comfortable in a sales-driven environment. Success in this position is measured by new patient referrals, referral source retention, and clinic volume growth. This role works cross-functionally with clinic directors, marketing, and leadership to ensure providers see Arete Health as the partner of choice for exceptional patient outcomes.

Referral Source Development & Sales
• Develop and execute a structured sales plan to grow new patient referrals from physicians, specialists, and health systems.
• Conduct daily in-person and virtual provider visits to strengthen referral pipelines.
• Educate providers and office staff on Arete's outcomes, access-to-care model, and The Arete Way.
• Build long-term relationships with referral coordinators, schedulers, and medical assistants who influence referral flow.
• Track referral patterns and identify at-risk or declining providers to re-engage.
Marketing & Provider Engagement
• Deliver targeted presentations and lunch-and-learn sessions for referring offices.
• Distribute branded, compliant marketing materials that reinforce Arete Health's differentiation.
• Partner with marketing team on digital campaigns, physician newsletters, and patient success stories.
• Support community outreach events that strengthen physician and patient engagement.
Performance Metrics & Reporting
• Maintain a detailed log of provider visits, referral volume, and follow-up actions.
• Monitor and report on key KPIs: number of provider visits per week, new referral sources added, monthly new patients, and referral conversion rates.
• Work with leadership to align sales efforts with clinic capacity and strategic growth priorities.
Internal Collaboration
• Partner with Clinic Directors to ensure providers receive feedback on referred patient progress and outcomes.
• Coordinate with operations to guarantee scheduling access and reduce barriers for referring providers.
• Share provider insights with leadership to inform business development strategy.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in physician liaison, healthcare sales, or referral development.
• Strong sales orientation with proven ability to build and maintain provider relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently within territory.
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy, healthcare sales, or physician liaison role.
• Familiarity with EMR/CRM systems for tracking referral activity.
• Background in healthcare compliance and HIPAA.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel to Physician office/clinic locations.
