Job description

We are looking for a comment Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a PTA, you will be responsible for the treatment of residents as directed by the Physical Therapist to restore, maintain, and prevent decline of resident function by planning and administering medically prescribed Physical Therapy services
Responsibilities
  • Assists physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment
  • plans for residents.
  • Leads therapeutic activities and exercises under the direction of the physical therapists.
  • Documents and monitors resident progress, reporting any changes to the supervising
  • physical therapist.
  • Demonstrates competency in the operation and navigation of the EMR software.
  • Educates residents and their families on treatment plans and any therapeutic equipment.
  • Serves as information and education resource for residents, families, physicians, and
  • staff.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education and/or Experience
  • Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association accredited school of Physical Therapy.
  • One year clinical experience is preferred.
  • Hold current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice

Skills
  • Hold current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
  • Possess problem solving skills necessary to be effective in the role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
