What is a physical therapist tech?

Physical Therapist Techs, also known as physical therapy aides or assistants, are healthcare workers who support physical therapists in delivering care to patients. They help set up equipment, assist patients during exercises, maintain treatment areas, and perform various administrative tasks. While they do not provide direct physical therapy treatments or create care plans, their support is essential in ensuring efficient and effective therapy sessions. Physical Therapist Techs often work in hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare settings.

What does a physical therapist tech do?

Physical Therapist Techs typically assist physical therapists by preparing treatment areas, helping patients with exercises, and maintaining equipment. They may also transport patients, document session details, and provide encouragement during rehabilitation activities.
