Job description

The Junior Graphics Designer position will play a key role in producing print and digital assets for the marketing department. We are looking for someone that creates clean yet compelling designs with attention to every detail. You will report to the Director of Marketing on project status and present design proposals to stakeholders and other team members. You will need to be extremely organized and experienced in updating project status to keep all parties on the same page while assisting to keep other nationwide team members on track.

Essential Functions:

• Design of packaging in multiple brands and formats – labels, sleeves, boxes, spec sheets, etc. including dieline creation and updating

• Development of digital assets to be used with Mailchimp, Stripo, Facebook and Instagram

• Brand ideation and logo development

• Plan and execute cross-channel campaigns

• Knowledgeable in printing processes (CMYK Process vs. Spot, vector vs. raster, bleed, trim, etc.)

• Supervise project status, ensuring accuracy and following up with team members on missing components

• Proofread department work and get approval from appropriate personnel before submitting files to vendors

• Follow up to confirm department has all final print versions of artwork

• Maintain marketing assets in appropriate backup locations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field/experience

• 3+ years’ experience in packaging design preferably in food industry products

• 5+ years’ experience in digital mediums including email and social media campaigns

• Adobe Creative Cloud – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. on Mac Platform – Experience with 3D rendering a plus

• Solid Typography understanding

• Excellent organizational and project management skills plus deadline orientated

• Strong multi-tasking, interpersonal and presentation capability

• Attention to detail with superb quality control practices

• Working knowledge of product photography, studio lighting, and photo editing ideal

• Love of cooking and restaurant foodservice knowledge a definite plus!

• Proficiency in copywriting a plus

• US Work Authorization – no Visa sponsorships are being offered at this time

• Must be able report to office M-F
