Job description

We are a design-focused in-home boutique specializing in curated textiles, rugs, and interior furnishings. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Operations Support Associate to support our daily studio and business operations. 

This role combines hands-on responsibilities with organizational, technical, and creative tasks, requiring both attention to detail and thoughtful problem-solving.

The associate will assist with managing textile samples, product information, inventory, digital assets, and operational processes. The position involves maintaining accurate records, learning product systems, supporting workflow improvements, and contributing to an organized and efficient studio environment.

This is a flexible part-time position (approximately 2–3 business days per week) is ideal for a college student or someone interested in gaining beginner experience in interior design, textiles, retail operations, and small business management. A valid driver's license is preferred.

The ideal candidate is reliable, curious, organized, and eager to learn. They should be comfortable balancing physical tasks with analytical responsibilities, including working with software tools, organizing information, and supporting daily business operations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean, inspect, and maintain textile samples and rugs to ensure company quality standards are met.
  • Organize and maintain textile libraries, samples, and product materials for client presentations and internal use.
  • Prepare and package rugs and samples for client orders, deliveries, and storage.
  • Safely lift, move, and arrange rugs, boxes, and design materials weighing up to 80 pounds
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and tracking products and inventory.
  • Maintain inventory records and product information using Excel spreadsheets and internal systems.
  • Photograph products and organize digital images and files.
  • Assist with basic product image editing using Photoshop or similar tools (training available).
  • Support product documentation, including dimensions, materials, pricing, and catalog information.
  • Help maintain a visually organized and inspiring studio environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience preferred.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Photoshop, product photography, and digital organization tools.
  • Ability to learn new systems, products, and processes quickly.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks while managing detail-oriented responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
