Work Study Photography Studio Assistant
Position Description
The Art Department is seeking two Photography Studio Assistants to help with maintaining our darkroom, studio and equipment check out.
Photography Studio Assistants will work under the supervision of photography instructors and attend to the following tasks:
  • Management of Photography equipment check-out/check-in
  • Taking inventory & ordering of supplies (chemistry, printer ink, etc.)
  • Mixing darkroom chemistry & following safety protocols
  • Maintaining Studio, Lab & Darkroom - keeping organized & clean
  • Calibration of computer monitors
  • Keeping fluid communication with Photography professors about needed equipment repairs, inventory and other concerns

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be self-directed, organized and have good communication skills.
Having some photography experience is a plus but we will also provide training.
Physical Demands
Must be able to assist with moving the purchased inventory (medium sized boxes) to designated areas.
