Job description

Job Title: Student Worker - Athletics Photography Student

Job Classification: Marketing and Communications, Student

Department: Branding and Creative Services

Hiring Manager: Jose Gonzales

Work Schedule: 20 Hours per week; flexible working hours

Desired Length of Employment: Fall 2026 & Ongoing

Pay Rate: $8.00-$12.00 per hour

Job Description:

The student will have the opportunity to photograph a wide range of live sporting events-including games, practices, and team activities-along with behind-the-scenes moments for Baylor Athletics. Responsibilities also include studio and product photography, assisting with student-athlete features, organizing and editing photos, and delivering images for social media and marketing use. The student will help with gameday, and other media day needs, such as equipment setup and post-event file management, while collaborating with the creative staff to support content planning and contribute fresh visual ideas.


Job Functions
        Photograph live sporting events and other athletic activities 
        Edit and organize photos
        Labeling and organizing photos post-production
        Set up and take down lighting and backdrops
        Work independently on assigned tasks
        Dependable and available 
        Compliance with all NCAA and Baylor policies

Required Skills:
        An eye for creative photography
        Adobe Lightroom and or Photoshop
        Post production duties - Cataloging and organization
        Full understanding of equipment
        Flexibility and attention to detail
        Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.00
        Availability to work nights and weekends
        Provide support to the assigned team and or event  
        Assist with various projects, activities, or tasks related to marketing and communications 
        Support marketing and communications strategies and perform duties accordingly 
        Exhibit a willingness to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively  
        Ability to comply with University policies  
        Maintain regular and punctual attendance
