Photographer – Vogt Auction
Location: San Antonio, TX | Full-Time | In-House
 
Are you passionate about visual storytelling and have a keen eye for detail? Vogt Auction, a leading fine art and antiques auction house, is seeking a talented Photographer to join our creative team. You’ll play a vital role in capturing high-quality images of rare, valuable, and one-of-a-kind items that appear in our nationally recognized auction events.
 
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Produce high-quality digital product photography of fine art, antiques, jewelry, furniture, vehicles and collectibles for online catalogs.
·         Edit, retouch, and format images for both web and print use.
·         Set up and maintain lighting, backgrounds, and staging areas to best showcase items.
·         Ensure that all photographs align with the company’s style guide, maintaining visual consistency and high standards.
·         Meet project and auction event deadlines consistently.
·         Maintain a well-organized archive of all imagery.
·         Collaborate with the Marketing Department to produce engaging visual content for promotional efforts.
·         Assist with video production.
·         Support Audio/Visual operations as needed, including auction-day support.
 
What a Strong Candidate Has:
·         Professional experience in product photography.
·         Strong proficiency with DSLR cameras, studio equipment, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)
·         Excellent attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven workflow.
·         A creative eye and a passion for design, history, and craftsmanship.
·         Strong communication and organizational skills.
·         A great attitude and sense of humor.
 
Compensation:
$18-30 per hour, based on experience
