Cornerstone Christian Schools is seeking a passionate and creative Secondary Art / Photography Teacher who is committed to developing students' artistic abilities while integrating a biblical worldview into every aspect of instruction. This educator will inspire students to explore visual arts, photography, creative expression, and design while encouraging them to use their God-given talents to glorify Him and positively impact others.

The ideal candidate is an engaging educator who fosters creativity, critical thinking, technical skill development, and artistic confidence in a Christ-centered learning environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction in secondary visual arts and photography courses aligned with school curriculum and educational standards
  • Teach foundational and advanced artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, design, composition, digital photography, and photo editing
  • Foster creativity while helping students develop technical skills, artistic appreciation, and visual communication
  • Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into classroom instruction and student interactions
  • Create a positive, organized, and encouraging classroom environment that supports student growth and achievement
  • Evaluate student progress through projects, portfolios, critiques, presentations, and assessments
  • Provide timely, meaningful feedback that encourages continuous improvement and artistic development
  • Maintain classroom supplies, equipment, photography technology, and studio organization
  • Prepare students for art exhibitions, photography showcases, competitions, and school events as appropriate
  • Collaborate with fellow faculty members, administrators, and parents to support student success
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and other campus activities
  • Model Christ-like character, professionalism, and servant leadership in all interactions


What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Photography, Visual Arts, or a closely related field required.
  • Valid teaching certification or the ability to obtain appropriate certification preferred.
  • ACSI Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • A passion for teaching art, photography, and creative expression to middle and high school students.
  • Creates engaging, hands-on learning experiences that inspire creativity and artistic confidence.
  • Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with photography equipment, digital imaging, and creative software appropriate for classroom instruction.
  • Embraces innovation while maintaining excellence in instruction and student engagement.
