About the Role

CatFace is seeking a Contract Commercial Photographer & Videographer to create high-quality visual content for merchandise launches, marketing campaigns, ecommerce initiatives, and brand partnerships.


Working with our Marketing Team, this contractor will produce product photography, lifestyle photography, ecommerce imagery, and promotional video content supporting our website, social media channels, paid advertising, email marketing, and promotional campaigns. Working closely with the Marketing team, this role brings our merchandise to life through compelling visual storytelling that drives awareness, engagement, and sales.


This is aproject-based 1099 contractor position, with the contractor picking up merchandise from ourAustin, Texas headquarters and completing all photography, videography, editing, and post-production off-site from their own studio using their own equipment.


Workload will vary based on merchandise launches and marketing priorities. CatFace averages4-5 merchandise launches per month, with each launch typically requiring up to one production day (8 hours or less) for photography and videography. The total workload is generally up to approximately 45 hours per month, depending on project volume.


Key Responsibilities

Commercial Photography

  • Photograph products for ecommerce listings, marketing campaigns, advertising materials, and promotional content.
  • Create lifestyle imagery featuring products in styled environments and model-driven shoots.
  • Capture hero images, product detail shots, white-background ecommerce photography, and launch assets.
  • Produce consistent, high-quality imagery that aligns with CatFace brand standards.

Commercial Videography

  • Produce promotional videos, lifestyle content, and advertising creatives for merchandise launches.
  • Capture rotating lifestyle setups showcasing products in engaging environments.
  • Film short-form content optimized for social media, paid advertising, and ecommerce.
  • Edit and deliver polished video assets ready for marketing use.

Campaign Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to execute creative concepts and meet campaign objectives.
  • Support internal merchandise launches and external brand partnership initiatives.
  • Coordinate product pickups, production schedules, and asset delivery timelines.
  • Incorporate creative feedback and revisions efficiently while meeting launch deadlines.

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years of commercial product photography experience (ecommerce or studio preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Photography, Videography, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Portfolio demonstrating professional photography and videography work.
  • Must be at least 18 year's old.


Contract Requirements

  • Must provide their own professional photography, videography, lighting, editing, and computer equipment.
  • Must have a home studio or access to a professional studio capable of producing high-quality commercial content.
  • Must be able to pick up merchandise from CatFace's Austin headquarters and transport products safely for production.
  • Must return merchandise and props in good condition after project completion.
  • Must maintain consistent communication with the Marketing team throughout production.
