What we need:

The Graphic Designer, Home Center Marketing is responsible for developing compelling visual communications that support retail merchandising, promotional programs, shopper marketing, product launches, and brand activation initiatives. This role collaborates closely with marketing, merchandising, sales, and creative teams to deliver effective design solutions that strengthen brand presence, enhance the customer's experience, and support business growth. The ideal candidate combines strong creative design expertise with knowledge of retail environments, production processes, photography and image editing best practices, brand standards, and emerging creative technologies. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple priorities simultaneously, and delivers high-quality work that aligns with business objectives.

What You'll do:  

    • Consult with employees throughout the company to determine project needs.
    • Use artistic skills and basic design principles to determine the best visual effect in planning, developing, and designing creative materials that are consistent with the image of Company brands.
    • Consult with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate business needs into effective creative solutions.
    • Apply advanced image editing, photo enhancement, and visual asset preparation techniques to support marketing and retail communications.
    • Review proofs to ensure that all specifications are met, and the best visual effect is achieved.
    • Collaborate with team members to contribute ideas for concept development.
    • Design and produce marketing materials that support promotional programs, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
    • Create visual solutions across print, digital, retail merchandising, display, signage, packaging, and point-of-sale materials.
    • Ensure all creative deliverables align with established brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
    • Prepare final production-ready artwork and files for print, manufacturing, and vendor partners.
    • Manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Explore opportunities to leverage AI-powered creative technologies and new design tools to improve productivity and creative effectiveness
    • Research design trends to keep abreast of industry trends, techniques, technology, and software.
    • Determine ways to enhance the company's designs from those of competitors.
    • Work on projects and assignments as part of a large work team.
    • Draw from prior experience, interpret facts, and identify incomplete data/anomalies to solve problems.
    • Uses innovative solutions to enhance personal work and, where applicable, the work of the team.
    • Effectively apply functional, process, and procedural or technical knowledge to address business challenges.
    • Influence others within the job area through explanation of facts and policies to resolve routine issues.
    • Performs other duties as needed.

What you have:  

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.   
    • 2-4 years' relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
    • Advanced knowledge in color correction, image resolutions, advanced photography skills and current workflow procedures.
    • Strong understanding of Typography, Layout and Composition, Color theory, Brand Application, and Print Production processes.
    • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Workfront, Adobe Firefly
    • Preferred:

            Experience supporting retail, home improvement, consumer products, building products, or shopper marketing programs.

            Experience designing retail signage, point-of-sale materials, in-store displays, packaging, or merchandising assets
