What does a photobooth operator do?

Photobooth attendants are professionals who set up, operate, and manage photobooths at events such as weddings, parties, and corporate functions. Their responsibilities include assembling the photobooth equipment, assisting guests with taking photos, troubleshooting any technical issues, and ensuring that prints or digital copies are delivered to guests. They also help maintain a fun atmosphere and may provide props or guide guests on how to use the photobooth. By handling logistics and assisting guests, photobooth attendants help ensure a seamless and enjoyable photo experience at events.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a photobooth operator?

To thrive as a Photobooth Operator, you need basic photography knowledge, technical troubleshooting ability, and customer service skills, often supported by experience with event setup or hospitality. Familiarity with digital cameras, photo printers, touchscreen interfaces, and specialized photobooth software like Darkroom or Breeze is typically required. Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving, and attention to detail help you engage guests and quickly resolve issues on-site. These skills ensure smooth event execution, satisfied clients, and reliable operation of equipment in dynamic event environments.

What challenges do photobooth operators face during events, and how can they be managed?

Photobooth operators often encounter challenges such as technical malfunctions with printers or cameras, managing large crowds, and ensuring quick setup and breakdown within tight event schedules. To handle these issues, it's important to perform thorough equipment checks before events, have backup supplies on hand, and develop efficient workflows for guest interactions. Good communication with event coordinators and a proactive approach to troubleshooting can help ensure smooth operations and a positive experience for guests.

About UsJoin the team behind the nation’s most iconic photobooths.

Majestic Photobooth is redefining the modern photobooth experience.

From luxury hotels and museums to iconic bars, restaurants, and global brands, we partner with clients to create unforgettable guest experiences through beautifully designed photobooths.

As we continue to grow nationally, we're looking for a Brand Experience Lead to create the experiences, community, and physical brand presence that define the next chapter of Majestic.

Why Now?

Majestic is entering a major growth chapter.

After years of building a nationally recognized brand, we’re rapidly expanding our venue footprint, operational infrastructure, and experiential capabilities across the country. We’re building the systems, team, and technology to scale into the future of photobooths.

That means this is an opportunity to join a fast-moving company where your work will directly shape how we grow.

The Role

We're looking for an outgoing, highly organized relationship builder who loves bringing people together.

This isn't a traditional marketing role.

You'll create opportunities for people to experience the Majestic brand through unforgettable events, exceptional hospitality, community programming, public relations, industry presence, and the activation of Majestic's branded environments.

Your mission is simple:

Create experiences people remember and a brand people want to be part of.

Working closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Leadership, you'll strengthen the Majestic brand by producing exceptional experiences, growing our community, and ensuring every interaction with Majestic feels intentional and memorable.

This is a highly autonomous role for someone who can turn broad objectives into clear plans, manage competing priorities, and carry initiatives from idea through execution without the need for constant oversight.

What You'll OwnBrand Experiences

Own the planning and execution of Majestic's brand experiences.

Responsibilities include:

  • Concept, plan, and execute Majestic-hosted experiences that strengthen the brand and build community.
  • Produce networking events, launch parties, customer appreciation events, pop-ups, educational workshops, venue showcases, and industry gatherings.
  • Develop event concepts, guest strategies, production plans, timelines, and run-of-show documents.
  • Coordinate sponsorship opportunities and conference activations.
  • Manage event budgets, vendors, venues, staffing, timelines, and logistics.
  • Ensure every experience reflects Majestic's premium brand and hospitality standards.
  • Lead post-event follow-up and evaluate each experience against its intended marketing and business objectives.

Majestic Spaces

Own the programming, guest experience, and activation strategy for Majestic's branded spaces.

  • Develop and execute programming that brings clients, collaborators, community members, and industry leaders into Majestic spaces.
  • Lead the launch and ongoing activation of new Majestic branded environments, creating memorable experiences that reflect the company's vision and elevate the guest experience.
  • Create a recurring calendar of networking events, workshops, product previews, private demonstrations, community gatherings, and brand experiences.
  • Curate every guest interaction to reflect Majestic's premium hospitality, design philosophy, and brand standards.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to use Majestic spaces as platforms for relationship building, customer engagement, product demonstrations, and memorable experiences.
  • Coordinate the vendors, production partners, hospitality details, and programming required to activate each space successfully.
  • Continuously evolve Majestic's branded environments through thoughtful programming and guest feedback.
  • Work alongside the Brand Content Producer to ensure every activation becomes compelling marketing content.

This role owns the experience and programming of Majestic spaces, while facilities, maintenance, and routine office operations remain with the appropriate operational teams.

Community

Own Majestic's community-building initiatives.

  • Build and nurture a nationwide community of hospitality professionals, venue operators, designers, photographers, agencies, creative partners, and brand advocates.
  • Develop recurring programs that encourage meaningful, long-term engagement with the Majestic brand.
  • Create reasons for people to return to Majestic through thoughtful programming, hospitality, and shared experiences.
  • Identify individuals and organizations who should become part of the Majestic community.
  • Help position Majestic as a connector within the hospitality, design, and experiential industries.
  • Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with community members, collaborators, and event participants.

Brand Collaborations

Own marketing collaborations that increase awareness and strengthen the Majestic brand.

  • Develop co-marketing campaigns with complementary brands and community partners.
  • Coordinate product collaborations, giveaways, shared content initiatives, and joint events.
  • Build relationships with creators, influencers, ambassadors, and cultural partners.
  • Develop clear proposals, briefs, timelines, and responsibilities for each collaboration.
  • Identify opportunities that expand Majestic's reach and introduce the brand to relevant new audiences.
  • Coordinate closely with Sales to avoid overlap with sales-owned strategic accounts and commercial partnerships.

Public Relations & Industry Presence

Support Majestic's visibility within the industries we serve.

  • Identify PR opportunities aligned with Majestic's brand and growth strategy.
  • Coordinate award submissions, speaking opportunities, media outreach, and industry features.
